Lake Monticello 11-12-11 Pre Tounament Thread
The Catawba Catfish Club will be having our 3rd Tournament of the season on Lake Monticello on November 12,2011.It will launch out of the Hwy 99 Access on the upper end of the lake.Blast off time will be at 7:00am sharp and fishing ends at 3:00pm with weigh in starting at 3:30pm.Sign up time will be from 5:30am -6:45am.
Hopefully we will get a good weather pattern leading up to and beyond the tournament and the Monticellos fall bite will be in full force. The lake holds many, many Big Bruiser Blue Cats and hopefully they will be ready to play on the 12th.
We hope to see everyone there and hopefully a few new faces will show up and give Big Monty a try.
Who all is planning to show up for this one and what are your predictions?
Wont get to prefish this one but gonna make a wild guess:
3 Fish Total Weight:93 lbs
Big Fish:44 lbs

I'm planning on it. I have never been on the lake and can't wait to see what it holds. Justin has been on the lake many times so hopefully he can put us on a few good fish.

team total chaos will be there havent fished monty since last tourny, and aint gonna get to pre fish this weekend like i hoped. Monticello is a great place to fish but for us its hard to figure out, I need to fish it more but cant seem to stay away from wateree. I believe expert knowledge of the lake will take this one.

fyi-i called scdnr this week to ask them about the conflicting things we have heard about castnetting in monti. the scdnr told me by phone it is not a state law and forwarded my call to SCE&G. They were suprised why scdnr would fwd a call about regulations but were very nice and wondered why the state routed the call to them. They took my number and called me back and told me that they had no issues with using cast nets in the lake....per Tommy Boozer''s office-(SCE&G Lake Manager)
