Well Ray decided to fight the heat (With rainbow unbrella in hand) and went to Lock 5 before daylight this morning....The report so far is 8 fish babies between 8-10 pounds
He just texted and said he is headed to the sandbar down river a bit to cool off ..........I will keep you all up to date

Well, no internet in Tunica at the Horseshoe...........they wanted $12.95 a day for internet. It wasn't worth that much to us. This trip about killed us though, as we skipped breakfast each day and ended up "visiting" 5 different buffets while down there. That is worse than the cash you drop and lose..........but Peel-em-and-eat Shrimp every meal was GREAT.
We are in Greers Ferry now stopping to visit my parents, and then home tomorrow.

Jr, did you even get Sam? I texted him and called him, but just got the voicemail. He did text us back and forth for an hour yesterday when we were (really Tina was) busting the slots. He kept giving me the "cash in man, cash in" speech. I wish I had listened to him around 11:30pm. We were waiting on the supper buffet and decided to drop $5. Tina ran it up to $81, and me $41.
Ofcourse, we left most of it down there, but did end up making $100.

We stopped and checked the boat ramps around Tunica. We won a free nights stay at the Fitz Casino/Hotel and will come back next month to fish the 'sippi. I did scope out the parking lot at the hotel for a plug-in to charge the boat batteries, as I figure drifting will be the ticket, and we'll need to charge the batteries. They don't have any outlets outside, but I found some around the pool and will sneak out "in stealth mode" at night and run some 100 foot cords from the pool to my boat...........so all will be fine.

Even though as hot as %&^$#*, it is nice to be back home.

Regan, I didn't try to call Sam today but yesterday I talked to him and his ma-in-law had been moved from intensive care to her own room. She was not out of the woods but was doing a little better. We also decided with everything going on along with the 100+ temps to skip fishing this weekend.
Glenda, Ray is a brave man to fish in the day time right now. Sounds like he done O.K.
Chris, we hit the one arm bandits in Roland today and left $100 winner. We were up $200 at one time but just wasn't ready to quit .

I hear that Johnny. If I were to get up $200 like that, I would keep playing.......and probably lose some of it too.

You boys know me........I'll fish in this heat. I can't stand this heat either, but can't stand seeing my boat sitting there. I am planning a night trip later this coming week, but will probably dunk some punch bait the next morning in the heat. Sure can't drift in all this current.....so I'll mess with the channel cat for a while and hopefully sweat off some of these buffets from Tunica.
It sure was tough to see all that current on the Mississippi only to come home to lake Arkansas....I mean the Ark river.
I guess we all could fish today and tomorrow and hope the Big Bass Bonanza boys would make current while running around chasing those goofy bass.

Went to a family get-together today down at sugarloaf for a big cook out. On the way back we stopped at the choctaw casino and left $130 winner .
