how do you keep night crawlers alive??
From one fishing trip to the next? I mean do you use different dirt than they come in and what about feeding them? Any help would be great, I try and buy alot of them at a time to get a better price but I am having trouble keeping them alive. Thnkas in advance TBurnham

I throw mine in the fridge, and add some coffee grounds on the top. I have no idea why... I had heard that once... and it seems to work.

I also keep them in the fridge and use the coffee grounds, been doing it for years and it works just fine. If i have to travel i make sure to keep them in a seperate cooler.

meal worms?...
what about meal worms ?, I been asking how do you catch them without having to buy them everytime u go fishing but I can't find out no where lol...

I keep mine n fridge and add coff grounds always worked for my pa use to do it when i was growing up. And i still do.

keep them cool.add corn meal and coff grounds

i just keep them in the fridge in the original container...there have been times when i wasn't able to fish for a few weeks and they were as good as when i put them there

Nightcrawlers are inexpensie so I just buy several in tubs of 20. I put some Buss Worm Bedding in a gallon Folger's plastic coffee can and throw about 3 dozen of the freshly bought night crawlers inside. The worm bedding has its own food. I bought one of those little refrigerators like you see in college dorms for about $60 and keep my bait in there. That worm bedding makes the crawlers feistier, and is much cleaner on your hands than the old worm dirt.
