ROCKY POINT 2011 GATHERING IN INDIANA September 16, 17 and 18

I'm going to try to make it to one or both of the gatherings. Hard for me to plan anything out too far due to kids sports and such but gonna try my best to be there.

hey bill i called down there toda and told them the dates and as far as the guy who owns it said only 6 sites avalible for that date and they dont have those cabins . is this the right place that barry showed in his pics??? he knew nothing about us coming for a gathering. maybe i,,m mistaken but maybe we might have o change the date for them?? so we can have enough room for everyone.just a thought

@ a month and a half away? I know don't about the site, I've never been to rp myself.... not even sure I'l be going this time- I was just giving the ball a little push by setting dates for every body since no one else would do it,,, , it's up to you guys to bring it together.
Far as the camp area goes, Biga is familiar with it, but I do believe there are hotels close by the area.

Rocky Point Marina is a small set up. It was a camp ground, boat ramp,gas station,store,restaurant combo, and Perry Marine. A couple years ago R/P changed. Perry Marine bought the camp ground from the store owners. When Perry Marine took over they did away with the cabins you saw in my pics, now I believe it's just camp spots. It would be a good idea for someone to contact Perry Marine to find out when to best maximize the availability of open spots.

Well I went to Rocky Point today,and did not recognize it. All the cabins are gone and the campsites are on top of each other. If you have 8' to 10' apart that is about it.I did talk to one of the owners and he said he had talked to some one last week. That was the first time he had heard of us coming down.
