I still see this occasionally. Pretty funny, wonder what happens when they hook a fish?? They've probably never caught one in their life. :>:?

Better understanding the gar helps the situation.

When they are mating there is 4-5 males courting one female.
That is what makes them seem like they have completely taken over. There is never just one around while mating.

I voted for other fisherman, but people in general gets my vote. what has happened to courtesy and common sense? some people just need a reality check.
and as far as the whole gar thing, gar are one of the only predator's of the asian carp, so they are a welcome sight in my eyes.

Yeah, I can put up with turtles, snakes, water birds, and wildlife in general, it's always PEOPLE who are the biggest nuisance.

I love catching something odd from time to time and it doesn't bother me because it's never consistently so. I voted other fisherman. Especially the ones who see you fishing a spot one week and the next week you come back to find it taken by that same dude.

I hate the dinks that polish my hooks. (dink = dinky fish)

For insects, I do not like crap that crawls on me or where I am sitting. Flying bugs, a good spray helps or moving the light. Perhaps pulling out the netting hat. To me, a good bug population means they are food for the fish, the fish I am going after want. Plus if the bats move in, it helps a bunch. Unless they keep flying into your line. Though it is pretty easy to tell them doing it, like a wind bite.

For people, I hate the drunkards. Not anglers imbibing a bit and relaxing. Tossing back a bit of suds or spirits is ok. When it gets past casual or celebratory and they get to 'that' point. I for some reason get irritated.

Otherwise, I am pretty patient with challenges and nature. You have to get through 50 pounds of shit to get to the one pound of gold. To catch a 40#+ cat. There is a lot of good story (read: compliant) leading up to it.

The jetskis and pleasure boaters dont bother me to much. Its their lake to use as much as it is mine to use and they dont really know any better. The pleasure boaters are gone by fall and dont show back up again till summer when I dont fish as much. Its the other fisherman that piss me off!! Im standing on my dock fishing my lights and you burn in at 40mph to within 10 yards and start casting at my feet??? I have planer boards out on both sides of my boat and am on a set troll and motor in and drop boards in front of me and cut me off of my game plan?? In other words Most are a bunch of no talent asses that reap the benefit of others hard work. I have a center console and its obvious Im fishing for stripers and people on this lake chase boats not fish.
