Introductions and thanks...

Hey Everyone

My name's Ross and I'm new here. And.. uh.. let's call it "re-new" to catfishing. Just wanted to drop an intro and say thanks.

I consider myself fortunate, living in NE Oklahoma, I can throw a rock in any random direction and hit a lake, creek or river. But I don't have to throw that rock far to hit a set of small municipal lakes that began a catfish stocking program a few years ago. I recently discovered some fishing time, in that sweet spot right after the kids go to bed and before I can't keep my eyes open anymore, and I spend most of that coveted time out there.

Now, I literally grew up on these lakes... so I figured going back would be like riding a bike. So long story short... my figurings weren't worth a whole lot..

I want to thank a good portion of folks in this forum. Even though I couldn't even begin to remember each one here that contributed a little tidbit. (Though I promise to give credit where it's due from this point on...) Since mid april, I've fished the lakes with a catfish count of 2, and a pound total considerably less than that. The last two nights alone have represented an 850% increase in the catch count... and I completely credit it to lurking this forum over the last few days.

Just got back from there tonight, and although for most round here, this catch is nothing to brag about... it's my Saratoga... my Gettysburg... my Midway...
