F**K F***K F***K, couldnt believe it that it snapped the 30lb braid from invicta, This has only happened to me like 3 times with braid. reel in line and looked at it and looks like it snapped at the swivel. re tie the carolina rig with a slider and out it goes in the water. next 5 minutes im cleaning up again and bell is going off. im telling myself looks like round two.get to the rod set the hook and nothing. WTF didnt feel anything kick back so reeled in some more and felt some life on the other end. ended up being a small stingray. call it a night after that. going back tomorrow with the bigger set up.

    Default POWER PRO

Frank i have used power pro before getting invicta and ill tell you that im going to stick with invicta . more smoother cast and less water absorbed. also i had 40lb spectra pro snap like it was 4lb test at the pier. fish will run and snap dont even get to set the hook. im going to look into the 80lb invicta for my next set up. thanks again

went out today in the afternoon after picking up my thule rack. did some fishing and caught a halibut. small one around 14 inches so back in the water it goes. the bigger ones are still coming in. weather was really shitty, cold, cloudy, and windy. fished for about an hour and called it good. went out tonight after work and cause a lobster on the rod. pretty cool. small guy and not lobster season so back in the water to get bigger for me to catch during lobster season. got some good runs but only got hooked up with one. say the bell and light going off so grabbed the pole and gave it to my buddy so that he can hook the fish and reel it in. ended up being a baby sting ray. was still fun to fight. that was it cause it was raining and cold and windy again. until tomorrow afterwork.

    Hey Kao,
I got one word for ya on fishing line brands - "Sufix" - been using it for years now and "It has never let me down".

You should get it a shot - you won't be sorry (Trust Me).

"If it ain't broke - then why are you trying to fix it"?
