nice fish, do u do any livebaiting? do u have to use heavy tackle for lake norman? hartwell will eat u-rigs with anything less than 40lb mono(on the reel) and heavy action rods. most of the fish i've caught on them didnt put up much of a fight(2-6lb fish).

You said that you were by yourself? I counted 4 fish, what is the creel limit there? It is 2 per person in Tn.

I have seen a striper massacre before I was at the tail race of the dam on the north end of lake norman and seen 2guy's boat and leave with 16 in a two hour period not to long ago a real dumb bass posted a picture on another site with 21 landed in 1 day maybe 4 people on the boat but every time I see him on the water no more than 3 on that boat this kind of person really ticks me off and any fisherman that condons this is not worth dead bait in the bucket Creel limits are not a request its the law!1 I always say what goes around comes around! On Jan 3 my older brother and myself caught and released 12 striper and 4 large mouth I have enough in the freezer for several meals that the way we roll!!

I have seen fishermen sling stripers on the bank to die simply because they were ignorant enough to believe they were destoying the largemouth and smallmouth bass and crappie fisheries. This was before cell phones, no way to call the fish cops. Not seen any of this in several years but hear they're doing the same thing on Melton Hill with muskies since they've been stocked for the last 10 years.
