im looking to buy a boat soon and i know there is a boat forum but i wanted to ask people in my neck of the woods what they recommend and my head hurts from looking at every company out there. never fished rivers for cats so i dont really know what to look for in a river boat that will also handle large lakes. thanks for any input.

how many you people do you want to be able to 'comfortably' fish out of it? How much motor are you wanting (hp). And most importantly!!!!!...... How much money are ya wanting to spend?

If I had the chance to buy a new boat I would get a seaArk.
I fish out of 17ft alummacraft with a 50hp Johnson and it does a great job in the rivers but it sets a little low in the water and if the waves were to get up on the big lakes it gets kinda rough.

I was told it is better to go ahead and get the one you want. But of course, in most cases it doesnt always work out like that
