    Default 12 Volt Battery

I'm using a battery from www.zbattery.com. It is a GP1222, 1 CSB, 12 V, 2.2Ah sealed lead acid battery for $12.99. The best part is that it weighs 2.2 lbs. The charger cost an additional $12.00. It works graet for my Humminbird 170.

    Default love my dewalt

I asked the same question on another site. Someone suggested rigging up the battery from a 12v cordless drill. I haven't tried it yet, but it sure sounds simple and convenient.

I use li po batterys. Since I have them on hand (RC Planes),and chargers. You can buy a 3 cell battery pack at a local hobby store. The big battery pack in the pic. is 3400mah (3.4amp),and weighs 5 oz. It will run my FF for 3 days! The chargers are cheap also. Ron

I bought the Humminbird brand battery w/charger from Amazon. It was only $28 and had free shipping. I left the battery plugged into the unit for 3 months before using it and it had nearly a full charge. I have heard on other message boards that it should last for a couple of weeks of continuous use before needing a recharge. I was sold on the free shipping part. Batteries weigh a lot!
