14lb blue for me. Nothing huge but it was big enough to take me for a ride.

Oh, mine is a 35 pound flathead.

24.75# blue on a limbline so no ride, just a big fight.

I haven't caught any yet worth weighin'.
I read an article in the June or July Louisiana Sportsman about a lady from Alexandria who was fishing from her kayak on a no-motors lake. She caught a largemouth bass just shy of 16 lbs when it was finally officially weighed for the 2nd place record in LA.
She straddled it in-between her legs while paddling back. I thought it was neat that record came from a kayak. If she could have had it weighed in a timely manner it probably would have been first. She was a tenth of a pound shy, bass had already spawned too.
Since I mostly fish from the kayak now I"m hoping my personal best will come someday soon. I lost a lunker Wed. as it surfaced and splashed around. Spit the crankbait out and it came flying back into my lifevest hard!

Hi y'all! This is my first post here.
Been fishing mainly from my solo canoe for 10+ years, love it.
Switched up to a sit-in kayak and double-bladed paddle a couple years ago. One reason was my right shoulder was about tore up from paddling only on that side for so long. Space is tight but I enjoy the Yak's too.
I've landed a 10 lb Blue, a 8 lb. Largemouth, and a month ago caught my largest Smallmouth bass ever, a 7 pounder from the yak! I was stoked.
This is my favorite kind of solo fishing.
