Best rod action for circle hooks?

I like a heavy power, I find it gives more power to push the hook in. I stated missing hooks only when I used a med-light rod.

All my rods are medium heavy. So long as I don't touch them and let the rod load up proper, my hook up ratio is probably 90%. I use 8/0 gamagatzu circle hooks.

Heavy, with a soft tip, then you have the power to drive the hook, and you don't drive the fish off before they take the bait. I like a '7"6 Shimano Teramar, it's $120, but so so worth it!

i have come to the conclusion that i like i stiffer tipped rod for drift fishing with circles .. it seens like more fish are hooked on initial strike than on the softer rods were they load the rod and then come up empty.... no hook set... but when anchored in current i seem to have better luck on a rod with lighter action that they can load up and keep pressure on the hook untill i get the rod in my hand... idealy i would like to have a set of drifting rods with a little stiffer tip and a set of anchor rods with a lighter tip that will load up and also be able to detect light bites.....

I don't have experience with this stuff yet, I would choose either a MH or H action rod with a trigger. From what I've read, you want a soft tip so the fish won't feel the rod and when the rod bends over just reel the fish in.

Moderate to moderate fast. IMHO I am no pro at using circle hooks at all In fact I have only caught a few fish on them..But they do work good But On the bank I dont really have the luck you guys with boat have....You need to have a really good bite to use them...

A rod with a soft tip that gradually makes its way into a powerful butt. I believe the term used is parabolic.I leave the rod in the holder to let it load so a gradual bend is important .A rod that is stiff from tip to butt increases the chance that a hook will tear out .The rod rating is not as important as the makeup of the blank.
