i am looking for a couple of catalpa worm trees. tell me a price your willing to sell them for

I don't have any for sale but when I was a kid there was an old gentleman in our neighborhood who had some catalpa trees. There were a couple of catalpa seedlings in his yard that he allowed me and my Dad to dig up. We transplanted them to our yard and they are really big now. Try and find someone with trees in your area and see if they will give you a few seedlings. If not contact your local County Agricultural agent. They might know where you can get some seedlings for free.

I have no clue why anyone would want a catalpa tree in their yard, therefore I believe anybody with seedlings would love for you to dig them up. Mom and Pop had a couple that were 4' in diameter in their yard.
Only 3 good things about them:
1) Big leaves made awesome shade
2) They're soft wood, but very strong, we only lost a couple small branches total in a bad ice storm in the 90's
3) Pretty wood (soft too) if you know somebody who carves

Those trees make a huge mess between those cursed bean pods (and their seeds) and all those flowers. Them bean pods can really hurt you if you step on a dried out one barefooted. They are also very hard to get rid of, as they're a tuff tree. 6 months or more after cutting the trees down, the logs were growing new limbs, and the stumps were growing suckers. We've got catalpa trees at the farm. Not the best for a "yard" but ours are beyond the fence. Not many worms on them anymore though. Not like I remember there being when I was a kid. I'd ask/look around localy. The shipping would be prohibitive I think.

There are 4-5 trees across the road in my neighbors yard. I haven't seen a single worm on them since I have lived here the last 6 years. I read some posts a long time ago about the worms only going on certain trees. I wish I could dig up some research on this.

And as the other posters stated, the trees are terrible in a yard.
