moosedog my brother, you have every right to do what you want, I will not tell you different! But when someone kills your dogs and infiltrates your house and you wake up with the muzzle of a gun in your face just remember we tried to warn you, no offence bro, but with an attitude like that you A. need to rethink life! B. need to do some growin' up! I'm 40 years old and have a bad back, and with you spilling your guts on here I could easily walk into your house, take you out, and take anything I wanted, but I won't! A gun is a tool, nothing more and nothing less, If the guy swinging the hammer doesn't know how to properly use the hammer, it isn't the hammers fault when he smashes his thumb. And no being able the hit a target doesn't do you crapola when there are bullets coming at you, but some folks are gung-ho and looking to get themselves killed to prove how tough they are, and you can't stop stupid.

This thread was and is about guns and fishing. If someone is worried about being targeted then i would rethink the whole posting about anything i got or showing pictures of 10's of thousand dollar boats and trucks cars or even some other fishing gear lol.

it might suprize you to learn that the biggest target of theft in this country is firearms, the criminals get big money for clean untracable guns from other criminals, and some law abiding folks keep a few arms around that may be short a tracable registration, so the government can't claim they have them. Also alot of arms are stolen and smuggled out of the usa to be sold on the streets in other countries and/or to third world armies ad gangs.

This is a true story. Speaking of dogs. I was once working a renovation job near the city. kept the tools at the customers house. 2 weeks into the job late at night 2 burgalars made their way in one went and somehow stuffed a rottweiler in a closet and the other went strait to the bedroom and stuck up the homeowners. Said they would kill the dog and then them if no money was given up. They took money and some of our tools. They had obviously been casing out this house and knew exactly what to do! I felt so bad for these people and what they went through. Gonna carry that for the rest of their lives. I'm not trying to sound like an a-hole or tell anyone what to do it's just a sick world and people will do anything for money/drugs/ect.

MR. Big Ben Benelli is always there for me, and also.......I know how to use him aswell,He has saved my ass already this year! Thank god I am not in jail on manslaughter charges because I also understand MY LAWS Which are VERY important!......It does not take much to kill someone as I first hand have experienced but it takes a TRUE human being to realize when deadly force is actually needed...

Due to too many fights when I was younger I cant carry a gun. All I can do is keep my pit, who will attack if needed. I'm confident with a hand to hand confrontation with any size person but I'm no match for weapons.

I'm out at the ramp alone so I get to the boat in as fast as possible. Off the bank is where I worry the most but it surely never stops me. The law knows me out there and will stop by and say hello every now and then. At my house a sheriff lives a few houses down. His kid and my kids play together so I know he keeps a good eye out around the house.

I'm not the paranoid type person. If the good lord wants to take me home he will do it whatever way he chooses ; )

Anyhoo was just wondering which types of guns make you more of a man. The long ones or the girther ones or both. I sold my IMI 50 cal for this 60" plasma I am using and would rather carry my old S&W model10.
