Do you carry a gun fishing?

No. I think the vast majority of the time a gun isn't going to help anything. It might help against really stupid people but if somebody with half a brain wants something they'll get it. It's about that simple. I promise ya good oral communication skills are worth much more than a bullet.

Yes, I always have either my 380, 9mm, or 357 depending on where I am going. I have shot a few copperheads, sick coons and skunks I've seen while fishing some remote areas. Hopefully I never need a sidearm for anything more serious than that. I have seen mountain lions while bowhunting near one creek I fish, and spend more time at public ramps in towns late at night than I used to so I do feel safer being armed.

never leave home with out my .357 just in case critters want to come out.. two legged and four. to many crazy people now a days, everyone should be packing crime would go down.tight lines justin

Interesting thred. I voted no because I don't need to bring um fishing. I do own a .45 semi auto and a nice nickle plated .357 Fun to watch that fire spit out at night....course ya never know when you might run into sasquatch tho.

Very true. Your mind is the best weapon. A pistol can be a valuble asset, but can also give you a false sense of security. Bad guys have guns too, and unlike TV the bad guys can win.

unless who you're communicating with someone who speaks spanish and wants to hit you on your head with a bat or stab you with a knife... then that bullet comes in real handy... I promise ya!
And if somebody wants something from me - without permission- a half a brain is all they'll have left if I catch them... my answer is yes, I carry a 380/9mm kurtz with two clips.
