As much as I wanted to get excited about my PB Channel of 25LBs I couldnt because 15 minutes before that I had got my previous personal best Bluecat of 62LBs. Before those 2 fish I had never caught a fish over 15LBs which was also a channel cat lol. I caught them both on fresh cut shad and the first time I ever used a shad for bait too. Here's a pic of the 62LB and the 25LB Kitties

My PB Channel Cat is right at 17lbs. Hoping to break that this year, because I'm going to fish a lake that has an average of 20lbs. on the Channel Cats!! That's right> 20lb. average!! Calamus Reservoir in Nebraska. I've seen the pics of the cats caught there and it's crazy to see so many large Channel Cats!! Fish tournaments with a 5 fish weigh-in and 100lb. stringers is very common there!! Must be the water!! lol.

Friend Ol' Man Al boated a 25# last year, so I need to beat that!! lol.

That can be the best time for the big one of the night, it justs wants to make you stay longer because the bit might just be starting. :handshake:
