18 LBs twice. Like your area, here in New Jersey anything over 15 is huge and over 20 is a monster. We have no Blues here either.

30+lbs.
On the Red River here in the Lockport, Mb. area the provincial record is 46.5 inches and I'm bettin' that size here would go over 40lbs. My personal best so far is 39" and an estimated 31-32 lbs. That pic is in my picture in the guide section. I have weighed customer caught fish at 38.5" and 30lb, 14oz. with similar girth. Fish over 34" and 20+lbs are common. Early spring weights are the highest.

nice fish there guys
here in florida the average for livers any ways is 1-5 lbs ... now that matt77 set me up on his spot and told me to s*** can the grocery store baits and use blue gills tiny live ones or half a big one as our primary bait and i also use frozen shinners that my local bait shop saves all his dead loss shinners and freezes em . with a 6/o circle hook , we are not catching on average of 10lb -18.5lbs <--- the biggest so far with 1 only 1 that was 6.6lbs.
bryan may i ask you what bait your useing, or sudjest ya try bream or native fish caught outa your body of water that your fishin , shad, skippys, mullet, pearch ,shinners . bigger bait bigger fish. and for channels find a spot on the river that is narrow with a current and cast in to the spots where there is a current break or an eddy or ambush points / dams /logs when you catch one pay attention where you casted and make a mental note
gl and aswome picks guys n gals
