Personal Best Channel Catfish
Ok guys, I know a lot of you probably have a decent blue or flattie, but I'm curious about whats the average personal best channel. Unfortunately, I didn't get to weight mine, and it most likely didn't break 10.
In the waters around NE Indiana, a 10+lber is pretty big, with a 20lber unheard of (but not out the question). I've been patiently waiting for a 15-20lber to brag about and I only know of a few anglers in my area that has reached that.
Anyhow please feel free to leave any comments pertaining to this poll.
Thanks for you participation,
Bryan

Mine was a hair under 16lb... our MN state record is 38 pounds, I couldn't even begin to imagine what a big chunker like that would be like to reel in!!! I'm targetting flatties this weekend though - hopefully I get some decent channels too. The typical channel here (at least the ones I catch) ranges from 3lbs to 10lbs.

Wow, very Nice photo Andy.
One of the reasons I posted this poll was to see what range a real trophy channel is. For me right now, I'm beginning to think a 20-25lb channel is a real treat and would mean almost as much as a 50lb flat or blue would be(At-least in my home waters). But don't get me wrong, nothing compares to a monster cat!!:cowboy:

didn't have a camera
I caught a 26# channel cat while Steelhead fishing on the Snake River last September, took a photo with my camera phone but was unable to get it to download to the CPU, dropped the phone in the river a few days later. So far this year my PB has been an 18# 3oz channel, damm flash broke on my fishing camera so the picture is kinda crappy, the second biggest is a 16#er. I have also got 5 Carp over 13# the biggest was a bit over 15# put the pic on here for you.
