Just so I have this straight. Stocking 10000 lbs of fish a year is a healthy pond that is big enough to support that many fish? To anyone with any common sense, that sounds like the fish die pretty quickly to need to stock that many a year. Sorry if I don't see how this place or any like it should be considered good or responsible.

my point was not about holding a fish for a pic it was about being proud of catching a fish that someone took from a river put in a pay pond starved to death and its been caught 46 other times befor you caught it that was my point how could you be proud of that and if the fish are being cared for so great at the mud hole you fish then why dose he have to stock 10,000 pounds of fish a year just answer that hypocrite!!!!!!!!

i would bet the bank the fish in your avatar will die before the fish hes holding by the mouth will............
no one said you were actually endangering the fish, as far as i seen, you are contributing to it by fishing these lakes. the fish stocked will die, and a heck of a lot sooner than if they stayed in the wild like they should be. I think you are not seeing the light because you are blinded by the fact that you like to fish these lakes, or just see what we mean and are too stubborn to face the facts.
To be honest, if these pay lakes were 10 or fifteen acre lakes, that actually had some structure and bait fish, which a lot of us like to call habitat, i wouldn't have such a problem with them. The fish would at least have a chance for survival, and it would actually be a challenge to catch them the way it is supposed to be.
I fished pay lakes growing up, until I was about 16 or so. The ones I fished have all gone out of business now. They were bigger lakes, I hardly ever seen them stock fish, that's because it was an actual lake supporting fish with habitat and structure and food in the water, not dangling from a hook. You actually had to learn to fish these lakes, too bad these crappy mud holes ran them out of business, least they were a lake and seemed that the owners actually cared about the fish to a point.

Vince lets be realistic here, your right that fish can and will die from being dropped. But when you lay a fish on the ground, especially a heavy fish, think about all the weight that fish is now forced to bear, rather than holding the fish and taking some weight off for it. I try and get my fish off the ground as quickly as possible in the boat. You can burst the air bladder on a heavy fish just as easily by letting it lay on the ground and support its own weight, which it has never done before while in the water. Think of it like that man.Once again you are wrong as usual. I can guarantee you if you even try to hold any fish up at the lake i fish for a picture you will be told to leave the premises. Majority of the fish holding I see in pictures come from lakes and rivers. This is the dumbest practice there is. Drop that fish, bust its swimbladder it will swim off but will be dead in 3 days.
You seem to think you have all the answers yet all I can see is you talking in circles. You have no proof to anything you say you are nothing but a pathetic mouthpiece that has no clue to what the truth is.
Look at both opur profile pics you are the one endangering the fish not me. No chance in the world mine is going to drop to the ground. What ya got to say now hypocrite???
With all this being said, I think its time to stop pointing the finger at each other. Its un-productive, and only puts more distance between the 2 sides. I dont agree that Vince fishes at these establishments, that being said I have BS'd with Vince behind the scenes, and he seems like a good person. And look at it like this, how many paylakers have came on this board and threw ideas around trying to get some regulations imposed on Pay Lakes? 1 is the answer, and Vince is the guy. Tempers flare on here, but I learned a long time ago that arguing back and forth is no way to get things done. Because while we are on here throwing punches at each other, Cats are still being stripped from our waterways, both legally and illegally. We need to move all of our aggression, and anger towards the state of KY. Guys I am telling you right now that until they change their regulations, this will continue to be a problem. And until the state of OH prohibits Game Fish from being transported in from out of state, this will also continue. Thats just my .02, if you want change, just like Dr Pepper said, do something about it. Not defending anyone here, just stating the obvious...
