    Default Charlies Blood B

I got a tub of this at walmart. I guess It caught my eye. How do you fish it. Do I used dip worms or do i make a ball? It says dough bait. Feelin kinda dumb on this one. Thanks for your help.

I think that is the one you make into a dough ball on a treble hook. I have seen it at Wal Mart but have never used it. I use Secret 7 or Sudden Impact.

Catfish Charlie B is a great bait. I use a #6 Treble hook with or without the springs and put enough on to cover the entire hook in a teardrop shape. This time of year I fish it under a slip cork in shallow water and do very good on eater size.Throw a little soured grain out first and hang on!

That stuff seems to work ok. I've never used it myself but have a friend who was fishing alongside me one cool autumn morning last year. I was using cut bluegill chunks about the size from a quarter to a half dollar, and he was using Charlies. He caught about the same size and amount I did on the cut bait. They weren't big, but 1-1/2 lb up to 6 lb channel cats. I remember the fish wouldn't hit nightcrawlers but I got a 14 pounder on a live crawdad the next day. Yep, I may try Charley's myself. Seems like it was $3-$4 a tub.

For that price you would be worth it to try.

I used Catfish Charlie type A and type B years ago,They were great catfish bait. I never tried the spring type pr trebel hooks with it,because back then,we didnt have thay option. I used a plain old J hook about sise 2 or the largest 1/0 I never had any problems casting or catching channels with this bait ,I was using spin casting gear way back then, though. So you might have to make some modern modifications with your gear. I have since gotten well away from all commercial catfish bait,I dont like the smell, the mess or the RESULTS.

Well, I noticed the Walmart here had some commercial bait here really cheap in their bargaib section last week, but I didn't pay attention.
