I started to use 1/0 wide gaps for bigger fish and works well with big boilies :mask:

i mostly fly fish em
Nothing like catching a big carp on a fly. Most of the carp flys i use i make. Fly name *carp hex* I tie with a size 1 or size 2. I do have em tied in size 4 as well. depends on if its a dry fly or a wet fly. And with a reg rod. Depends on the bait on useing. If its corn i'll use size 4 to 2. And if its bread or anything i ball up for bait it'd be a 1 to 1/0

Iv'e caught lots of carp this summer and fall using Matzua #1 and #2 pre-snelled #213 circle hooks. These work very well, everything from 10" up to 10 pounders and using crawlers. There's a spot my son and I fish alot for carp just for the fun of it with thius hook.

I use a 32" fiberglass arrow most of the time. If I try to catch them with rod and reel I use #4 eagle claw bait holder or a circle hook of equal size. Mostly crawlers as bait.
