    Default One Exception!

I almost forgot, In Early spring I like to get some baby bluegills and small shiners and freeze them and then let un-thaw, in the sun and set outside all day and refreeze overnight and repeat,, do this about 4 nights and then fish,, It resembles winter killed bait fish and they work.

    Default Almost always use bait

I very seldom use anything other than cut bait, shrimp, or worms. I have used magic bait's chicken liver & blood nuggets a few times but that was only out of desperation when I ran out of bait at 3 am, worked ok cause they were hitting anything that night, but I prefer to use what cut bait I can catch. Washington has a funny rule about no netting or noodleing so I have to fish for my favorite bait, Pikeminnow AKA-Squawfish.

I made stink bait once and the only thing I got was in trouble for using the wife's blender.

All of the bait I use has a set of gills on it. I keep live bait at the house and then cut them on the water. I even Flathead fish this way.

Same here....... Darn things live forever on a hook that's for sure but that aint good, I want them to get ate, LOL.

Last ones I had ended up as pets but they got evicted for torturing my gills.

Try to only use the freshest shad I can catch. I do have some in the freezer, but you can't beat fresh shad.........or skips...if I had some:=(:
