    Default Matt:

You will get it down lad. Get out in the world, besides these backrooms with dead spiders and old newspapers. Post where the real men use stinkbait to shave with.

I don't think they'd be any worse than the asian carp. Hell they might get them under control by feeding on them.

I'd rather have an invasive species like the Wels cat rather than Asian carp here in our waters. From what Ive heard those Wels can get real aggressive

Just watch YouTube videos...they turn on each other at one pound and would eat all other fish, birds, small deer, pigs you name it. And will attack humans if in spawning area. Yeah that show river monsters...watch that episode. Save money and go to Spain and never play with the idea of wels on the states. These fish were an experiment by a scientist in Germany and he put them in the river Ebro which made them grow and spawn due to warm water and that was not to Spain's liking. Actually against Spain's import laws. Snakeheads have done the same effects in Florida and the Potomac. Some could argue other species Blues, Flatheads are just as bad in the James river...nothing compares to Wels. Wels would probably attack Blues and Flathead bigger than themselves when all other food sources are not available. That would be devastating to the balance of the body of water they are in. Leave them in Europe and go visit our brothers over there and have beer with them...:-)

We probably already do. Just because they haven't been caught yet, doesn't mean they don't exist here.

wooooo!!!! I don't know where you heard those mith but truly they are legends! I live here in Italy and have seen very big european catfish )or silurus glanis) and I can sure tell you that it do not attack humans or deers or pigs! it is true that they eat small birds and small mammals if they have the opportunity. And it was not a german scientist who introduced them!
European catfish are native from east europe countries such as Hungary,Romania,ecc... during the early 1970 they were introduced in the west part of europe by mistake in some cases ( pay lakes) and by will other times. They grow really big not because of warm water but because the have a very large quantity of food available and no predators that chase him!
