tons of 55 gallon drums, all sorts of balls, rods and reels, lures, pliers, tires, tons of garbage, my favorite happened last week at the dam when i found 3 containers full of live shiners and fathead minnows, i thought it was suspicious that they were held underwater by a rock:wink:

collected 8 nice store bought anchors one year when the water was really down, all different styles, still use some of them returned the others by gettin them snagged up off the boat. found a baggie of money once, about 60 bucks floating up against the bank, fiqured someone had put their money in it to keep it dry then lost the bag while skiing or something. found a canoe one time while wading,it was sitting on the bottom in 4 foot of water when I tripped over it,drug it in and emptied it out, found the owner and returned it. found alot of lazy peoples trash and gear that was deposited in the trash can 30 foot away.

Beer, wine, and whiskey bottles, tons of old fishing line, usually old cheap line that costs $2.50 per mile, a galvanized minnow bucket, sinkers, empty packs of Zig Zags and even used hypodermic syringes?

Ive found just about everything from lures to dead bodies..Just kidding but that wouldnt surprise me.. If i was a insurance cop i couldve saved them a lot of money with the stolen cars dump into our river systems... That old blue truck is my fav spot to fish.. That one is true.. I found my son a nice bike down there as well... I thought someone would come back for it, but after a week it was in the truck.. I lost count of the stuff my kids come back with.. Its to the point where i tell them we only bringing back what we take down with us..

My best find was 7years ago a sword that was made in 1865 i got it down by Broadway and Davis street at the grain bins i had a 3oz sinker and i checked the line when i threw out to make sure it wasint hung up by pulling it slowly and i thought i hooked a barge line ... When it got in i didint know what it was ...
It was a sword in the case it was very rusty i took it to a place on Chippewa street and the guy kept it for about 4days then called me up and said he would give me 1700 bucks for it (i was 19yrs old) i said ok.(im sure he took the 4days to find a buyer to give him 5times what he paid me maybe more.
My dad told me to keep it but i was a drag racer and wanted the money to buy some parts.
Im sure it was worth a ton more but i didint care i was 19.:smile2:
