Okay Brandon i am going to zig while everybody zags.I love my titelocks they can be adjusted to ANY angle i have had them since 1999 and i have never had a base to holder connection fail. Are they as strong as drifts or monsters ? ...no they get bent up by big cats .....and i just bend them back and they keep coming back for more. I fish for flatheads from anchor most of the time. Having the flexability to change my holders to ANY angle and ANY direction is a huge advantage with this type of fishing. These holders allow me to fish holes with max efficency that i wouldn't be able to do with stationary rod holders

I just got 4 Monster 33/45s and two 0/33s when Steve ran the special but I ordered some Driftmaster 1/2" gunnel mounts hoping the monsters will fit. Driftmaster seemed to have more mounting options listed than Monster but I may be wrong. I've also got a buddy of mine who wants to build me a bar to mount them all on but I want to wait to see if the DM mounts will work before I commit.

My boat came with driftmasters on it. They do what I need and do it perfectly. Monsters are no different in quality they both do what they say they will. If my boat didnt have any on it when I bought it I wouldnt of bought either brands as I do not use rod holders that much.

I love my Monster's. The Monster Rod Holders make it easier for me to get the rod out, when there's a monster bluecat on the other end with my TWC extreme rod 6 eyelets in the water.

Another boat I fish on has both and they perform well. One thing I would like to see changed on the Monsters. While the back opening is large and makes it easy to get the rod out, the front is wide also. This lets my rods rock back and forth in the holder. It is pretty annoying at times. The bar across the front that the rod rest on needs to be more of a "v" in my opinion. This would prevent the rod from rocking. I have 4 monsters that I have never put on my boat for this reason.

X2
I'll 2nd what Rusty says. The customer service made it a no-brainer. Steve would call me on his way to tournaments to answer any questions I would email him about. I doubt you'll get that from Cabela's or BassPro. They're both quality products ... it's the little intangibles that make it. And I like the idea I can call the owner and talk issues or catfishing.
...... plus those red tips are pretty cool :)

ps. The Monster 1/2" holders do fit the DriftMaster 1/2" mounts. I know they are the same size but some people measure creatively so I wanted to make sure. :-)
