I think they are both good. I have driftmasters on my boat and I really like them. I have also used the monster rodholders and I liked them too.

Well I have tried several different brands of rod holders and to me it depends on where u fish and what size of fish you normally target. I have tried the cabelas quick draw which I did not like. I could not get the rod out of the holder. Tite Lock, Drift master, and Monster are all quality rod holders which provide you with the best all around rod holders. These can hold up to current and big fish but for the kind of drifting I do I use the Berkley quick draw rod holders. I can set the hook with no resistance but I have heard of them breaking under heavy current and large fish conditions. I use them on a lake which is mainly a channel catfishery but we have caught big bluecatfish without a problem. Like I said I use them for the ability to quickly set the hook. If I were fishing the river I would use drift master, tite lock, or monster and would not have a problem using any of the three.

Haven't fished with monsters.... but I know I like my driftmasters and they have not failed me at all. I been very pleased with them and as such, I do not have plans on changing what I know works for me.

I have driftmasters and like them. I'm sure I'd like the Monsters too. When I win the lottery I will have to have another set for my second boat.... I like the looks of some called "bee readys" as well.

i have a small,14 foot, crestliner and to install any kind of rod holder i would haft to do a bunch of work on the boat fore they would work so i just use some home made holders.if i ever get another boat with the channels that hold rod holders ill probably get a couple of the monsters and drift masters to see which i would like best.

Before I had a boat I fished with friends that had Driftmasters and or Scotty's. When I finally got a boat I decided on the MONSTERS.They work for me,the customer service is great. Steve is a good guy to talk to and I will continue to use MONSTERS.
