I've got 4 and use them when ever the situation is right, great way to put a big bait out there, plus I love seeing the bobber take off, after Shelby GT waxed my

When my really big slip bobbers are gone I'll buy some.

i just got my first flat on one last week, was awesome to watch it go, i like em but have a problen occasionally, how do you cast the fat kats and not get your leader wrapped on the line above the bobber?
Jeff I can't say I have ever had that happened. How long of a leader are you using and is it wrapping up just above the Kat bobber or above it alot?
My rule of thumb is use enough weight to help cast it better like the 2" regular bobbers get 2ozs weight and a 3" 3ozs weight and so on I just add an extra 1oz or so for the fat kats like the 2" fat kat I would use atleast 3ozs weight.
When to you notice the line is tangled?? Can you see it when its flyin in the air or just later when you reel it in??
Also are you using Mono or Braid?
If its just gettin wrapped around the glowstick then you could try drillin another hole in the bobber (Like my buddy Rob does) then you can bend the glowstick over into the other hole like horse shoe shaped.. You don't have to drill very deep.

its wrapping just above it, ive used leaders fro, 8 to 24 inches and weights fron 1 to 6 oz, and i cant figger it out, i notice when it hits the water its leaning to one side, thats when i reel in and see it tangled,, i use mono whenever i use bobbers, braid seems to make it worse
You might try an put a 1oz or so weight like an egg sinker on the leader line on the hook or use a split shot to try and keep the weight off the hook.
I can't recall ever havin that problem before. I do use braid but don't know it that matters any for this problem. However one trip float fishing standing timber with Mono changes ones mind to braid in a hurry.Imo
I will see if I can try and see what you mean in person at the mega comin up. You will still be here for that right?? I am still tryin to find a way there.
Also are you stop failin or movin at all? Normally when the bobber is leanin to one side it is touchin the bottom just the bait not the weight as then it would lay completly flat.
Are you using these in the river or lakes?

i use em mainly in lakes,, ill be at the mega for the day on saturday with my kids, maybe go and sleep in the truck, i dunno, but if you cant find a way down there, let me know, i may be able to work somethin out for ya dependin on cheyennes work schedule
Jeff lets go to Lake Shawnee in the next week or so and we can try them out there. I bet they work good. :> I do not know why they would be messing up on you. I have been using them since I have been on here and the only time they get wrapped up for me is like Shelby said around the glow stick.
