Worm containers

Wondering what everyone uses to keep their worms in?? Currently I just keep them in the containers they come in and put them in a cooler with ice. Works good but would like something more compact. Been looking at Frabill's round insulated container that has a lid on top and bottom. The bottom part is separate and you can put ice in it or another bait. But I feel like $14 is to much. Maybe 8-9 bucks I could see. Been thinking of making a box out of would and insulating it with insulation board. What do ya'll think and what do you use??? Thanks!!

hey guys im taking my little boy fishing for a little while sunday, gonna get some wax worms and head to a pond to catch some bluegill. actually just for him to have fun but if we catch anything im definitely going to keep it for bait on Thursday night. heres my question, I have an aerator and two 5 gallon buckets and it stays pretty cool in my basement, think I should try to keep em alive til then or not worth the hassle so just freeze them? ive never tried to keep baitfish that long so im looking for some input here. I want to keep them living but if its not gonna work too well ill just freeze the little crumb snatchers right off the bat lol.. Thanks

I talked to some ocean fishers and they take ground up bait fish and a little bit of fish oil. Then they mix in some cat food, oatmeal, and some sand. They put large rock in a tube and then pour the chum mix over the top and freeze it. The way they use it is cut off the tube and drop it strait down. They say the cat food floats to the top, and the oatmeal covers the middle and the sand sinks giving you a top to bottom chum slick. Has anyone done this. Or have any input?
