Flatheads are hunting not scavenging, when they finally catch something they don't let go, if your getting runs and drops odds are u had a channel or bluecat..I have observed flats feeding in tanks and they eat like groupers, one big inhale. No clicker needed..Never used one and i have a 98% success rate of hooking and landing every Flathead bite..
Like the guys said they will also hang u up if u give them any line..just say COME HERE!!
