Alright.. There's a bunch of people running their mouths saying Who Dey came first, and then Who Dat came first.. I'm pretty sure that Who Dat came first.. and I need some backup on this! Anyone know the real answer?!?! :-)
who dat dates back to the 30's in New orleans. its what is today called phonics. T is relaced with D in many pronunciations. Dem Tigers, or Da utter day- the other day. even the word New orleans is pronouced differently than other folks, say from up north. New orleans would be one word and would sound like -Nawlens- with a draw. many accents in New orleans, this is just a sample. Typically a african american, creole.
