Hell of a Time

Im so having a hard time targeting flatheads especially since I dont have a boat. Im hoping I can meet some cool people on here so they can maybe give me some advice. Anything would be great. Ive tried all the regular baits. Bluegill, goldfish, wads of nightcrawlers. NOTHING. Again, maybe Im just not in the right places. Its hard to know where to look when Im shorebound. Fellow anglers help me. Im from Northern Ohio. I go to Huron River alot but its been dieing down as of lately. Im trying to find new places and fellow flathead hunters that might wanna get together and do some fishing. Thanks all.

I also fish from shore alot or from my float tube(greatest 150 investment ever). I wade long streches of rivers or creeks up one side and back the other. From exploration, find the deeper holes with the narliest snags and focus on these areas. If no areas with wood, then find rocky areas. They love livin in the wood and feedin in the rock. If you keep getting snagged, then your in the right places. I like to throw a big crappie or bluegill on bottom and then throw another one about 2ft under a baloon with a glowstick in it. This covers more water column and it's very fun to watch a glowing baloon going down hard and fast!!
