With a warm winter we figured fish would be spawning early. Walleye are done spawning at the end of april on average in the lake. 3rd weekend of may we caught a couple females that were still full of eggs. Talked to fish and boat biologist and he said they got several calls about the same thing and they dont have an answer for it. Its opposite of what they thought it would be. Now they're worried weather might have thrown them off and they might not have a very good hatch this year. Might not apply at all to cats but just sharing the info I got.
