After giving it some thought, the conspiracy theorist in me has come up with a possible scenario. In years past, pool men, gardeners, and other service people have been caught with stolen property. My theory is that this suspect was a service person that was on our street earlier in the day, and saw the purse, and commited the crime himself. Or a service person saw the purse in the car and told a friend, or relative, and they came back and did the crime. My reason for thinking this way is the perp drove right to the car as if he knew the purse was there. Very suspicious.
