"There are some of the biggest Catfish I have ever seen in my life! It's such a terrible waste." said one witness.
While tons of Catfish are lost every day, resent studies conducted by Indiana Fishery Biologist indicated that Big "trophy size catfish are rare." nevertheless, Indiana Division of Fish and Wildlife refuse to take action without cooperation from Illinois and Kentucky and "until more research can be completed" Only catfish are affected- mostly the larger ones, so no emergency actions are being considered....

I happen to have picture that a buddy just emailed to me showing tons of dead, rotting blue catfish, I need to resize them- then I'll post them. when I get a chance

			<title>bait shop in crittenden?</title>

I had recently been told that Reynolds Boat Dock is closed down & no longer is a bait house.. I seen in another thread that there is a bait shop on that same road off the crittenden exit but its on the right side of the road?

Supposedly this guy has pictures of a 60# flat & multiple 50+ blues caught from there. Sounds intriguing but I have never heard of flats coming from there, & I've seen one picture of a 40+ blue.

If anyone happens to know anything about this, please let me know & I would happily appreciate it. Contact information on the bait shop would be nice as well. Thanks!

I've heard the rumors about the big flat heads in there but Ive never seen one or heard of anyone catching one (at least that I could trust that it wasnt a fisherman story.) I know owner of Reynolds was going to stock it with some flats from TN River but I dont think that he has ever gotten to it. I know he wont now that he has decided to more. Reynolds did close and the property is for sale. I think its going for 144k now if anyone is interested. It has the property, the dock, the house, and the baitshop. The baitshop I think youre talking about was actually a really nice pay lake called Lake Wildcat that went out of business. He did have several pictures of big flats and blues that he pulled out of his lake. I hated to see him close down but I know it was probably due to a shoulder injury he obtained while throwing a cast net for bait fish. There are two other bait stores close to Bullock. One is in Walton. Take the Walton exit, follow Mary C Grubbs Hwy to the end, (you will pass McDonalds and Kroger.) Take a left at the light and about 1/4 of a mile there will be a sign for Butler Bait shop. The gentleman who owns and runs it has a great selection of tackle and bait, is very knowledgeable about what he sells and the local lakes. He has stuff in there that I cant find ANYWHERE else! The other bait ship is a little harder to find but the prices make it worth it. If you get off the crittenden exit going south, you take a right off the exit, take the first rd on the left, (491) and follow it for a few miles. Youll go down a big hill and about half way up the hill again there is a road on the left called Waller Rd. Follow it a few miles until you find Munk Rd on your left and he is at the end of the Rd. (Real country roads, but worth it for the prices.) After you get on 491 there are "Live bait" signs that you can follow the rest of the way. He also wills and deals in used tackle and such. Either place you will find great people that are more than happy to help you with whatever you are looking for.
