In this article they take baitfish and leave it in the fridge for 3 days so that the meat of the shad gets better soaked with blood. They also vacumm pack and do the same technique with it. I would have to say that this is a way to make bait work even better however, my wife was not to crazy about that idea. I need to get my own freezer and fridge. Well I have a fridge but that is for my friend from Lynchburg and his buddy the Captain. I think they are going to move over so we can try this technique out. Oh yeah and by the way in South Carolina I am still catching White Perch, Bluegills, Yellow Perch, and Threadfin Shad at will. Water is cooling off and Bluecats are on fire in the rivers and lakes around the Sumter county area.
