About 6 weeks ago a friend and I tried fishing the upper lake area of Lake Wateree that most people call the river area. We fished the bottom with live shad from about 6:00 p.m. until about 9:30 p.m.. We loaded a 120 quart cooler with nice blues in the 8 to 12 pound range.
