If you have trouble catching bait up there, the shad should be thick in the first cove on the right, coming down river from Long Island Marina. We used to find a baitwell full in no time. Under the bridge and to the left next to the rocks and on back in the cove around the point to the right. Watch out for the bridge piling in the middle of the cove.
