J.D., you're way off base. Herb Alpert was Romanian and Russian. Next time you put on his tunes be proper and eat his native homeland food. Here is a list of their delicacies: Ciorbă is the traditional Romanian sour soup Ciorbă de burtă (a soup made from tripe, or the stomach of assorted farm animals) Ciorbă de peşte "ca-n Deltă" (fish soup prepared in the style of the Danube Delta) Ciorbă ţărănească ...
Crosseyed Cricket is closed as Metalpha said. That was a nice place too, not really a paylake. I think some of the trout escaped into the Clinch River because sometimes rainbows and browns are caught below Melton Hill Dam. My wife works less than 5 minutes from the old Crosseyed Cricket. We went to a primitive arrowhead making group get together at Crosseyed Cricket a year or two ago. Pond is still there.

The Lightning Rod I want is the 7'6" long handled trigger baitcaster, heavy action, rated for 12-25 lb test mono, 3/8 to 1-1/2 oz lures. I was wrong, Walmart doesn't have it in stock, but BPS does and I'm shopping around for a cheaper price than $49.99. I'll look into it later. Since New Year's I've bought 5 new rods and reels. One was for my gal, it's one of those pink spinning combos, for an early Valentine ...

I don't remember ever seeing the entire width of the Emory River frozen. I found a little gap in the ice in one little feeder creek about 35' wide and caught one crappie. I shot-putted a rock as big as a basketball onto the ice and it didn't even budge it?? It was worth the trip, however, I found ...
