In my dealings with the Abu Garcia 6500 Style reels, I've found very little difference in the various models..
CS or Rockets having the clicker on the side of the left sideplate, is a preference for me, but, all models ...

The 9-10K reels are the same diameter. The second picture shows the difference in width between the 9-10K ..
also, the 7000 is wider than the 9000, but, smaller diameter.

I'd agree with all that!! Happened too many times with my rigs..
and, I check my mono, and cut and retie quite often, and, not replace my terminal gear, which happens with the braid way too frequently.!!In my experience...

When using Braid, a Mono leader is almost mandatory. Different folks use varied lengths, but, the abrasion resistance is a must have with the use of braid mainline.
