got a nice 8pt buck today

I went out today with my son, talk about cold it was down around 20 tell you bout putting a little nip on the nose, I got my son setup in his stand and got into my stand a little late and was afraid i might have messed up my day, Also my coffee thermos lid was snap open and leaked on my pack, But I got in my stand and got all snuggled down and was there for about 90 min, then i saw a deer on the trail under one of my other stands, go figure, I have just reset the stand I was in last week in this new location, He was still in some thick cover but i could make out him and the direction he was walking after a few yards i had a good open shot, I put one round just behind his left shoulder and it exit in mid section, talk about a liver being tuned into jello. It always shocks me how much my 7mag does it job. the deer ran about 25yds and dropped. I thought I missed him at first because my deer drop on the spot most times. I'm thinking about getting him mounted but not sure, maybe a European mount. My son did not get to see anything.
