Waccamaw River

i was just curious if anyone has fished the waccamaw river near the south carolina border.if so did u have any luck with the catfish?I fished it a few times when i first moved here and was staying in sunset beach.That was in february so was little slow then.curious if it gets good in the warmer weather.

There's alot of big flatheads caught in the Waccamah every year, from the ramp on rt 904 south to the SC border. NC has seen fit to allow shocking on that river because of them, but you can't see to shock at night.

I've caught several in the 12 to 20 lb range, and yes warmer spring tems will kick in the bite.
