Today was a great day for me! I decided to go hunting and the conditions were just right. It was 3:54 pm. and happiness dwelled upon me. I caught moment on my left and noticed a decent buck was rubbing a branch that was visited before. I saw he was nice and deciced it was now or never. I grabbed my bow and he caught my movement and trotted off about 30 yds. to my left and starred right at me. I thought lets do this! I drew and estimated 30 yds. and let the arrow fly. I saw the arrow make it's mark and it was a complete pass through both lungs and he dropped at 50-60 yds. away. Done deal!! Shot him with my HOYT Katera and FMJ Eastons, tipped with 100 gr. Shuttle T-Lock broadhead.

4x4 gross weight around 200 pounds. Scores approx mid 120's.

Here's the pic!! Check out the bowhunting forum for more pics. THANKS!!

Congratulations from another Hoyt bowhunter. I also use the TightPoint Shuttle-T's and love them. They leave exit wounds like a gunshot. You sure got a nice buck. How far did you have to drag it? Here in VA we're entering our second week of muzzleloader season, but I'm already looking forward to late archery in December. Keep up the good shooting.

Nice buck. Man, he looks heavier than 200!! In that picture, he looks like a really big bodied deer.

Mike Thanks for the kind comment! After field dressing him, I had to drag the buck approx. 150 yds. to get him where I could get him loaded in my truck. I dragged him myself. I was wore out!!. Luckily my brother-in-law helped with the loading into my truck! A big thanks to him!! Made for a long day, but that's hunting.! I love it and will continue until I'm broken down.LOL..:smile2:
