Got a Doe Today.

Didn't go hunting today but did get a Doe.

I was sitting in my easy chair watching t v and looked out the window every now and then when a nice doe came out to feed on the pin oak acorns we have all over our back yard.

I got my gun loaded it and slipped out the front door and quietly made my way to the corner of my house. When the deer was looking I eased my gun up and supported myself with the corner of the house. When the doe got broadside to me I pulled the trigger and shot her thru the shoulders and dropped her like a rock.

Nothing like a nice comfortable deer stand to hunt out of.:smile2:

where's the fun in that:smile2: dont you miss leaving the house at 3 am driving an hour to hunt, to go set in a tree an hour or two before daylight and have the morning frost settle down on your hat.:cool2:
just funnin, I love it when I can get one out the door too but it dont happen very often for me.

Well the day after, that I had got my doe, my father in law came over and I was sitting at the dinning room table butchering up my doe and watching out the back windows. I had my curtains pulled up and propped on the back of a chair so I could sit at the table butchering my doe and watch outside at the same time.

As we were sitting there talking I looked out and I told my father in law well there she is. So he got up and got the gun and snuck out to the corner of the house just like I had done and he downed her just like I had mine. Like a rock.

We got that one butchered up last nite and all the meat is in the freezer.

I saved the deers livers too for catfishing.
