where should i mount my transducer in the boat or out side the boat is aluminum

Outside. Mine works best between the keel ridges. My boat is a 2072 Jon boat. I have a dual frequency and it works great. Split the Transducer at the bottom of the boat.
Put it in on the same side that you drive the boat from. It helps keep the transducer in the water.
