Gathering in North Carolina

is there going to be a nc gathering or atleast talk about one. all these people and all we do is talk online I would like to meet everyone thats helped me and other people like me. just food for thought/:)

Let's just not make it too far out west for poor boys like me who can't get the time off work, or money to travel that far. I'd like to get together with some of the folks on here and get absolutely sick of hearing fishing stories!!!:p

How about Kerr Lake, we have a number of Coummity House's from the Corp and is accesible from a number of highways.

Yeah, I agree, there is a lot of nice facilities that could hold the gathering. For example "North Bend Park", but thats just one of the many possible gathering spots on Kerr Lake.:)

last time I went down the cape fear from fayet nam ther was a place that looked like it had cabins and camping spots + a boat ramp and dock if anyone knows what and where it is chime in please

Would be willing to drive from the Charlotte/Concord area if it was during the weekend. The more time you give people to plan, the more will be able to make it.

For the best catfish in nc.Your best bet is to hit the cape fear.As far as location where every one can get there and it not be a hasel thats another story.I stay in fayand i have been wanting to have a gathering for the nc members for awhile so i am down to go anywhere i just want to see a gathering come togther and work this year so wherever yall decide i am for.

yeah it has been awhile, i was liveing in raleigh for awhile now im back in good ol fayettnam. I will try and get on as much as i can good to see everyone again. hope all is going well.

I have been down there and caught a couple a few weeks ago.Its not as bad as it was when we went. I even made my way up stream and set up on that sandbar that would have to be the place we would go if we went again.I caught a 6 pound blue and a 10 pound blue out there. I am up for it i only stay about 5 mins away from that spot, we would have to see about getting kieth out there.I will were shoes this go round tho. lol

So is anyone ready to start putting together a NC gathering?
We will help any way we can. Just need ample time for Oldtroll to put in for vacation so we can make it if its going to be "down east".

I don't know if there was a gathering last year, but we did have one in 04 at Badin. It was a lot of fun. The fishing was slow. We were there the first weekend in April. I'd be interested in attending, if it isn't too far from the Piedmont.

Would be good to try to have a gathering as near to the center of the state as possible. Jordan Lake has some really nice campgrounds but no cabins. Check out their website for group rates.
