Looking for some early channels this weekend! Got water temp reading in the lower forty last week before the warm snap so I'm hoping for mid to upper fortys for this weekend. Either way I am gonna target some channel cats with whole cut shad. Can't wait till flathead time! I'll keep ya'll posted and take some pic's if anything good should happen.

Water Temp five miles above Memphis on the Mississippi was 41 degrees on Sunday.

(Sangamoncatkiller) Try Shad guts when you go that's what i've cought all my fish on this week they would'nt even look at the cut shad. The water temp around pekin was 44deg on the river today. Good Look.

How did you do on the sangamon. I have been wanting to get out some but still new to area and don't know where to go really. I don't have a boat yet but any ideas where to bank fish on sangamon? Might just have to get out real quick after work.
