Skipjack or shad any place to buy them in Kentucky?

Just wondering if anyone knows of a place to buy skipjack or shad around the Hardin / Larue County area?

I went to the ky. river saterday, went up a small creck and using a throw net caught 4 (5 gal.)
buckets full. you shoud be able to do the same near you.

The only place i have heard of buying shad is at bait shops around ky lake. not sure of the names.

If there's a market I'll catch Skipjack, vacuum pack them and ship them frozen for the right price......LOL, anyone interested????? :p

A little bait shop by Markland Dam, called Sargeant Sissies, has Skipjack and Mooneye. Great prices too, but only have them when they can catch them.

Just try at your local dam with a castnet, or use a sabiki rig on a rod n reel with light line.
