WHAT TECHNIQUES DO YOU GUYS USE TO CATCH BIG CATS IN THE RIVER:cool:

what i do is run trot lines, jugs, and cast a line out every once in a while, but to catch a big one it just takes pactience, and luck, you just have to keep running lines, and casting soon you'll get one.

I would find a good feature, bait it heavily and regularly and sit it out as often as I could.

Use bood and chum and something that will always be of a food source on the bottom for when they come into your area.

But then hey I've never fished the Mississippi !!!!!

Ill be on the river alot this year i hope. I will be fishing behind the wind dams in deep holes during the day, then fishing the flats next to deep water at night for the big blues with cut shad.
but this time of year i would be up near the lock.
