just wandering if anybody out there was catching anything anywhere other than around dams? I went this weekend & not even a hit one in 25 to 35ft. waters:confused: .

You might want to check out the thread where I usually post under the State of Mississippi section. I think it is titled something like world record class catfishing and we are on part 2 now. You will see most of us fish around Memphis or south on the Mississippi River and there are no dams here. It is sometimes hit and miss(more for some of us than others) but somebody usually catches fish just about all year round.

Just wanted to let you know that last week I was checking the activity in a pond for early channel cat activity, and let me just tell you they were on fire!!!! Hope this helps

id bet the cats down there are moving shallow now. they are here in ohio and water temps are around 40 degrees.
