Lowrance gps unit

I have never had any cards in my unit. If I buy blank cards, can I go to the Lowrance website and down load maps for a particular lake or do you have to buy the package?

They do have some free downloads available, though I don't think they're quite as detailed as the maps you can buy. Jamison's letting me borrow his card for the tournament this weekend, so I can "try before I buy".

I was wanting something for Truman this weekend as well. Maybe Mr.T will come to my rescue, I think I read where he was going to buy the Map Create software. Truman is about the only lake I fish, and I only fish it a couple times a year.

I downloaded the free enhanced lake map from Lowrance. Not a lot of detail, but it does show the depth contour. Not bad for free, will work for me until I get something better!
